I am needing this driver's side splash shield for my truck.
I have checked online but no one seems to have it, they say it's discontinued.
Do you know where I can get this part?

Hi,

I have to be honest. The only way I can think to get one is from a salvaged vehicle. There are a few sites online to search. I have used the following site with success several times. Let me know if you have already checked it.

www.car-part.com

If you have a chance, let me know. There should be many available on that site.

Take care,
Joe

I have been searching for a little while now and don't even see them on auction sites. With this being a discontinued part you are probably not going to find a new one if the aftermarket is not making them which I have not found any.

This leaves one source. Salvage yards or totaled vehicles. I would just start calling around to salvage yards and see if they have a vehicle from 1992-1997 as it appears they all share this part.

Sorry I didn't have better info for you.

Mine is still attached to my vehicle but it's getting old, dry rotted, will soon need one. those from junk yards will be the same. I had just bought a new one for the passengers side, it works fine. thanks

Are there any u-pull it salvage yards near you? You indicated they didn't have it. Are you referring to the car-parts site? If there is nothing listed there, it may simply be because it isn't a high demand part or something they never considered selling. If you could locate a salvage yard that allows customers to remove parts themselves, I have a feeling you will find a truck and it will have one.

I don't believe this is available aftermarket, so a salvage yard is going to be the only choice. The only other thing I can suggest is to contact a Nissan dealer and ask if they can do a search for dealer old stock. There may be a dealership somewhere in the country that has one on their shelf from 20 years ago. I know the sounds impossible, but it happens.

Let us know if you have other questions.

I contacted some online stores and they said Nissan doesn't have it.
I might take and trace my old one onto some rubber coal mining belt line and cut a piece out of it.

I'm putting a question on 2carprosdotcom and was wondering if you might be able to help me with the problem, it will be about a 2001 Ford Ranger 4 x4 3.0L automatic.
I'm needing the wiring diagram for the air conditioning, I'm needing to know where the high pressure switch is and what plug in connector fits it plus is it on the drivers side or the passengers side of vehicle? Thank you

Hello,

Can you please start a new question for A/C diagram? The reason I am asking is that you are asking about a different vehicle and issue. In order for the site to properly index questions they need to about one issue/vehicle otherwise people will not be able to find the answer to that question under a different subject. The site is here to assist those that need direct help but also provide a resource for others that have the same issue.

For your convenience here is the link:
