My truck will take gas but very slow

Hi I have a 1994 Chevy 1500 pick up truck and when I go and try to put gas in it it goes in very slow and then it stops at 5.00 and act like it won't take any more and sometimes comes back out on the ground please help me

For fuel to enter the tank, air has to escape. There is a vent that runs along side the filler tube on your vehicle (if I recall correctly). Check it for damage or if it is plugged.
