I left my car running when I went into a library to help my son. (It was around 90 degrees outside and the A/C was on). It was still running when I returned to the vehicle but as soon as I stopped it into reverse, it shut off. I had a half tank of gas and I am still getting power in my car so its not the battery. It tries to turn over but seems to have no spark or maybe it's not getting fuel to completely turn over. What does that mean?

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Was the engine overheating when you returned? If not, we need to check for spark and fuel. Here are a few links that will help:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-fuel-system-pressure-and-regulator

Here are the directions specific to your vehicle for checking fuel pressure. The attached pics correlate with the directions

COMPONENT TESTS AND GENERAL DIAGNOSTICS
Inspection

1. Relieve fuel pressure.
2. Remove the 12 mm banjo bolt on the fuel filter while holding the fuel filter with another wrench. Attach the 12 mm fuel pressure adapter bolt and the special tool.

3. Start the engine. Measure the fuel pressure with the engine idling and the vacuum hose of the fuel pressure regulator disconnected from the fuel pressure regulator and pinched. If the engine will not start, turn the ignition switch on (II), wait for two seconds, turn it off, then back on again and read the fuel pressure.

Pressure should be:

270 - 320 kPa (2.8 - 3.2 kg/Sq.cm, 40 - 47 psi)

4. Reconnect vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator.

Pressure should be:

220 - 260 kPa (2.2 - 2.7 kg/Sq.cm, 31 - 38 psi)

If the fuel pressure is not as specified, first check the fuel pump.

If the fuel pump is OK, check the following:

- If the fuel pressure is higher than specified, inspect for:
- Pinched or clogged fuel return hose or line.
- Faulty fuel pressure regulator.

- If the fuel pressure is lower than specified, inspect for:
- Clogged fuel filter.
- Faulty fuel pressure regulator.

- Fuel line leakage.

Most times, a parts store will lend you a fuel pressure gauge. Here are a couple other links that may help when checking for spark.

If you find the pump is bad, here are the directions for replacement.

Here are the directions specific to your vehicle.

REPLACEMENT
WARNING: Do not smoke while working on fuel system Keep open flames away from your work area.

1. Fold the left rear seat cushion forward, and remove the base frame cover.
2. Remove the access panel from the floor.
3. Relieve the fuel pressure.
4. Disconnect the fuel lines.
5. Disconnect the 5P connector from the fuel pump.

6. Remove the fuel pump mounting nuts.
7. Remove the fuel pump from the fuel tank.
8. Install the fuel pump in the reverse order of removal.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.
