Hazard lights do not turn off and turn signs do not work properly after the vehicle was broken into and they did some damage?

Okay. Well, about a month ago someone broke into my car, and it was damaged. I have got the ignition switch changed out, so it starts and drives. My hazard switch on top of wheel was broken off, so the switch won't engage, and they stay going off and my blinkers won't work right. I took out the fuse for the hazard, so they aren't constantly going off. How do I fix that hazard switch and can you just change that out because I got told you have to replace the entire steering column to fix them. If you could please give me any pointers it would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, none of the blinkers will work right if the hazard switch is broken because the blinkers run through the switch, it is not too bad to change the switch out which is called a multi-function switch. You will need to remove the plastic cover around the steering column the screws are in the bottom of the cover. I have left instructions in the diagrams below on how to change the switch out. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
