Good afternoon everyone. Whenever I'm not moving and the car is running it overheats. I've checked/replaced a lot of things and it only made it last longer but it still overheats. I replaced the radiator, thermostat, canceled the clutch fan and installed 2 large electric fans. I replaced the engine head. I had some people telling me it could be the problem and I flushed the whole system more then once. Keep in mind all the things I replaced did make a difference but not eliminate it completely, also where I live it could extremely hot, while driving it doesn't overheat but if I stopped for more then about an hour it overheats. Before I replaced any of those it didn't even last 30 minutes. Please keep in mind when I say overheat I mean the temperature gauge maxed out.

Hello,

When a vehicle is sitting at idle, this is when it gets the hottest. When you are driving, especially at freeway speeds, you have a lot of air flow over the engine that is helping to cool it. One thing that I see you didn't replace is the water pump. This could very well be failing and causing your problem. Here are a few links below for you to go to:

Also you might want to confirm that your new fans are pulling air through the radiator and not pushing it through the radiator. This will make a big difference as well. Please go through these guides and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex

I will change the water pump, thank you for the suggestion, and yes the fans are pulling air not pushing. Thank you so much for your time.
