Stumped, Jeep overheats in less than 20 minutes. Goes to 220 then jumps to 250 degrees. It will come back down to 220 in about 10 minutes. Replaced radiator, hoses, cooling fan, water pump, thermastat, even bypassed heater core. What else could I look at?

Hello and thanks for donating

Do compression check on cylinders see if cylinder head gasket or head is cracked.

I thought of that, but wouldn't there be other symptoms such as, white smoke, leaking antifreeze, dirty spark plugs? I hate to take it to the shop if I don't have to. Is there any way to check myself?

Not necessarily and easy way to check for cracked head gasket is to remove radiator cap while cool. Then start motor and rev it a bit. If coolant flows way up out of radiator cap opening then you definitely have issue with cylinder head or gasket.
