Mitsubishi 3000gt vr4 awd twin turbo 122000. When my car is completely stopped and I try to put it into 1st gear it wont go in even if I put some force into it unless the car is moving at no more than 3mph. If its going a little faster than about 3mph and I try to put it in first it grinds and doesnt go in till the car is barely rolling at about 3mph or less then it lets me put it into 1st, but I cant put it in if the car is completly stopped. None of my friends know whats wrong with it. Thanks, robert

I'm no expert, but I used to have an eclipse with a similar problem. Mine was an easy fix. Check your slave cylinder on your transmission. Check to make sure the bolts are in and they're tight. Also check the mount for cracks. Have a friend press in the clutch and watch for warping or bending of the mount. A missing bolt or cracked mount can lead to shifting problems. Good luck.
