1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse cuts out for a sec.

Hi, can anyone help me with this? I just bought an Eclipse and after driving 300 miles on the freeway the tach went to zero and car studdered for about 2 seconds then was fine. It did this about six times in the next 200 miles? Thanks. Only 60k miles , Auto, non turbo. ? Rb6369@yahoo. Com
