I have a 1994 mitsubishi eclipse and it has a bad oil leak. One day I was driving up a hill and I had to gas it a bit to get up. As soon as I got over I notice the car motor started acting funny. On my way home on the highway the car seemed fine until I came off the exit and it literally drop all its oil. I saw the oil pressure gauge fall down to empty. I know it was empty cause it makes a clicking noise when it does. The next couple days I let it sit. I put more oil in(10w-30) and started it up. It ran fine for awhile and as soon as the motor got hot enough it drop all the oil again. I cant figure out what the the problem is. Everyone tells me it might be the oil pan but I think its more. Its a 1994 mitsubishi eclipse 1.8 lit.

Joe the first thing to do is to give the engine a good bath with de-greaser. Let is dry start it and find out where the oil leak originates. Then I can help you Good luck

I agree. Also check you oil pan, around its seal, and check if oil is around it, if it is it means you need a new oil pan gasket. Also make sure your valve cover isnt leaking as well
