2001 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE

Hey guys again good news and bad news. the good news is I was able to keep the check engine light off for awhile, but it just came back on and it is reading “idle control system P0505” and “fuel trim bank 1 P0170” am i better off just replacing the whole throttle body? Just need more of a professional approach. I already replaced the idle air control system plus router. So would is it truly needed?
What were the previous codes? You should have gone back to your previous thread in order that whoever was working with you gets notified and since he has a history of what is going on. Here we need to start all over again.
P0505 is a fault with the throttle body and if the wiring circuit and ECM are tested good, then the throttle body would have to be replaced.
P0170 could be due to the faulty throttle body or a leak in the manifold.

The firs code was a P0304. I was able to get the check engine like off and the new codes are P0505 and P0170. so I figured the misfire is still there.

P0304 is a misfiring of the fourth cylinder and since you have a P0170, there is a possibility of a vacuum leak at the intake manifold of this cylinder. Try checking for vacuum leaks and if the spark plugs and related components were not checked before, do so now. Get this resolved before going to P0505.
