1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Manual

My car tries to turn over, but does not catch. I sent in my ECU and it was said to be fine. My mechanic went through the gambit of test, but he is at a loss. He can inject ETHER into the injection and it will start. The fuel is being pump through the fuel pump. He replaced the sensor and nothing. It just stopped one day-all of a sudden.
I AM PERPLEXED! Please help?

Is fuel pressure at 38 psi?

My mechanic said that there is enough pressure. The fuel gets to the injectors, but the injectors are not shooting fuel into the engine. He can lightly spray ether into the engine and it starts. Should I send the ECU I agin?

With test light or NOID light see if voltage at injectors

I will. I'm getting it back from the mechanic Tues, when I do I will check it out. Is it something I can do or not? (I truly thank you. I lost my job and am desperate to get this fixed)
