Sable rattle - Heat Shield?

I have a 2002 Sable that makes a loud rattle only when the car has several passengers in it. It doesn't do it when just I am in it. I was told that it could be a heat shield that is loose. Is this possible and if so, how do I fix it? Thanks!

More likely is the ride height is low with more people,
and the exhaust could find a place to rattle. Heat sheilds when loose will rattle no matter how many people are in the car.
