No heat

I have a 1995 mercury sable 3.8 with 190000 miles. My question is the heat does not work and the temp gauge goes to the h. The blower works just cold air comes out and no heat. I just changed the thermostat and the water pump, still no luck what else could it be?

My question is the heat does not work. Do you mean the blower motor is not coming On, or it comes On but no heat. If so might want to check for a clogged-up hose/stuck heater control valve/air blend door or heater core.

Step 1 - A heater cannot operate unless the engine is full of coolant/antifreeze. If coolant level is low check the system for leaks.
