2004 Mercury Sable Car not idling

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have a 2004 Mercury sable that shuts off when I stop at traffic lights. I went to a shop that replaced the idle motor but the problem keeps reoccurring but it does not reoccur as often. I wanted to know what is wrong.

Most common is idle air control valve
also check for vacuum leaks
