Just bought a 2001 sable with 78000 miles. When is the timing belt due to be replaced?

It should say in the owner's manual. However, I can look it up. Let me know what size engine you have.

Okay, accordng to mitchell online, it should be replaced at 120K or when the automatic tensionier wear indicator mark reaches max position.

NOTE: The 120K interval is for regular schedule. The other is for severe duty.

I hope this helps. Let me know.

Joe
