We all here could take a stab at it and be wrong, with no engine light on and the car not actually right here, it could be a hundred things and I dont want to point you in the wrong direction,
what I can say is your shop should have held the car and told you they may be able to find the problem if you were willing to pay diagnostic time, this enables the tech to properly diagnose the vehicle without replacing 100 parts which it seems like people do now.
Find someone willing to take the time with it as long as your wiling to pay, my rule of thumb is check check and recheck before replacing anything.
