while driving truck it was shifting into gear hard, I stopped to go into a store and came out ,when I tried to drive away it would not go into gear. I shut truck off and checked the transmission fluid and found that it was in need of fluid. When I looked down I noticed that there was a puddle of transmission fluid coming from under the truck. I filled it up with more fluid and was able to drive it for about 5 miles befor it stated to shift hard again. I pulled over put more fluid in and was able to drive the rest of the way home approximatly 3 more miles. This morning there was another puddle of fluid under the truck. I have not filled it up with fluid again or tried to start or drive it since. Could some one please advise me on this.

Have you checked for a leak at the pan and the cooling lines?
