1998 Mercury Mountaineer broken hood

1998 Mercury Mountaineer V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

my 1998 mercury mountainair hood wirers are broken in the front and were it should meet in the front under the hood is broken, every one tells me you have to go under the truck but thats closed up you cant see the hood lach from under there, i guess my question to you wood be how can i get my hood open by going thow the grill. please help. thanks rose

You need to get a screwdriver or something long enough to reach through to the latch assembly so you can push it. Many body shops will do it for very little money. They have the right tools for it because many times the hoods are damaged after an accident.
