I have a 1995 Mercury grand Marquis G.S. With 175kmiles and 4.6 liter engine. I have the Mercury shop manual for it but it is not clear on how to remove the rear window glass in order to remove the regulator.I have replaced the two front regulators and the glass just slips out easily on those. The rear one is different.

Yeah. The rear glass has to come out at the proper angle. So when you remove the weather-stripping you will have more room at the top of the door. So take the glass and turn it counter clockwise and then as you take it out lift it straight up and you may have to rotate it as it comes out.

Here is a guide that will help with this:

Also, I am attaching the info from the manual and they say to raise the glass to the full up position and secure it out of the way. So if you don't have to remove the glass for some other reason, this would be the best course of action.

Please let us know what questions you have with this.

Thanks
