I decided it was time to change fuel filter, purchased Fram filter, got under car, located filter, removed connector from tank end (plastic with locking fork) then came to the other end? Couldn't figure out how to remove it. It's some sort of metal push on with a metal clamp? Anyhow, since I couldn't remove it, I reassembled the other end. Now the car won't start, or starts momentarily. There are no leaks and I can hear the fuel pump energise when I turn the key on. What kind of foolishness is this. I'm 65 and have been changing fuel filters for more than a few years. What's next, are we gonna have to bring our vehicles to the dealer for an oil change? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Foolishnesss is one adjective I hadn't thought of, mine are more harsh.

IS it possible that a line was kinked?

Fram G8018?

If so, both ends are the same.

Some of those Ford and Ford by-products require a special release tool, can get them at any auto parts store
