When i press on the brakes, only my left 2 brake lights, light up. I checked the other bulbs on the right side and the filaments are fine. When i turn on the right turn signal, the bulbs light up. (it uses the 2 bulbs, and the same wire for brake and turn signal.) I checked the wire, and it was fine all the way up into the dash. BUT, why does my brake lights, light only on my left side? Here is a picture with the brakes applied:

Hi there,

if you have power when brakes are applied you will have a fault in the earth wire, start checking at the globe socket and start working back,

I actually got it to work today. At school, i found some old wiring diagrams, and saw that the brakes feed through the 'turn signal switch'. I recently switched it out because one of the catch tabs broke off and wouldn't hold up the turn signal stick. But on the one i switched out, i snipped some contact metal bars too short. So, i bought a new one today, and was very careful of how much i snipped off. I hooked it up, and all was fine, and i was satisfied!!! I feel glad that its fixed !! ! thanks
