2001 Mercury Cougar fuel pump

I put a new fuel pump but there is no fuel pressure so I checked for current and I have current but no ground I plug the pump in and it dose not turn on I bench test it and it works please help

Check fuel pump relay and fuse, if it has no ground check the ground wiring to ensure its not damaged and is connected properly

Fixed the problem the sending unit had a melted wire
