Found the 6 pin starter relay behind the head light, checked for continuity between the points two points showed 40 ohms between them (good= 50-120ohms?Suspect?) And the others showed no continuity. Looks like the relay is bad?

That is what it sounds like. However, since you loose all power when you turn it to the start position, check to make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight as well as the ground to the engine block. A starter relay wouldn't cause you to lose power to other electrical components.

Car has 160000 miles, timing belt was replaced @ 110000 miles, replaced cap & rotor plugs & wires shotly after I bought it @ 147000 miles, I was driving home on the highway 65mph and the tach jumped from 2700 rpm to 3200 rpm for an instant then ran fine then about 1/2 mile down the road the car shut off. Got the car home, it started for about 30 seconds then would not start. The next day it started for about 2 minutes then stalled. I thought it was the fuel pump, replaced it and the filter mounted on the firewall. I checked to see if I was getting fuel it and it is. Still the car will not start. Could this be electrical or something else common for these cars?

We used a test light which flickers at the iginition coil and we get a yellow spark at plugs, not blue, we get a reading at the ignition control module on top of the distributor only on one end. So not sure what to replace. Suggestions?

We have replaced both the iginition module and the ignition coil, we have sprayed carburator cleaner into the intake and the car turned over but would not stay running, we checked the fuel shut off valve and it is firmly depressed so what is next to check?

We just replaced the ignition coil. It started several times in the yard then we went to the store, when we came out to leave the car would not start so we rolled down the hill to the house. Its been sitting now at the house and still wont start after an hour. Now what?
