2002 Other Mercedes Benz Models Won't start

This is a European model car with an 8 cylinder CDI system. Car was running fine but along the way a water hose failed and the car overheated. After replacing the hose the car won't start. We have fuel all the way up to the injector lines but it won, t start. Sprayed some carb cleaner into the intake engine will run for a very short moment and die. Those injectors are electronicly controlled. There is no air in the system, replace the crank sensor, the fuel pump but to no avail.
