My stepfather died thursday and my mother has given the truck to my son who must drive it 7 hours to Nashville in the morning and we can't get the darn thing to start. Has passive anti theft keys, Battery seems ok. ignition turns the electrical system on, pushing clutch to the floor. What are we missing here?

ok you have the anti-theft keys. When the key is in the 'on' or start position...is the theft light flashing quickly. If it is. You might have a key program fault. I take it these were the keys for the truck, not new ones.

If this is not the case then I would lean towards the starter...btw 99 b300's do NOT have starter solenoids o nthe fender
