Engine shut off while driving down the road. No spark. It is getting fuel. Cranks fine just won't fire.
Tried changing out the Ignition Control Module. Not totally sure I got the distributor put back together as it still does not spark.

Do you have an exploded view diagram for the distributor?

Could the problem be the alternator?

Possibly something else?

Ok first lets check the coil. With a digital muti meter check what voltage it at the positive side of the coil with key on engine off. If there is no power then you need to check the wire to the coil and the main fuse. If this checks good then you need to check resistance between the positive and negitive sides of the coil with the wires disconnected it should be.58 to.86. If this checks ok then you need to check the secondary resistance. This is checked between the positive side of the coil and the coil tower it should read 11500 to 18500. If any of this is not what it should be the coil is bad and needs to be replaced. Let me know what you find.
