our van airconditioner blows cold air but it is very weak. all the fan settings work but not much air is coming out of the vents. what could be the cause and how can i fix the problem myself? if i need to remove the dash to fix the problem, do i have to turn off the airbags before i do this?

if you turn the blower motor to max, and you change the zones (defrost, heat, vents, etc) and it doesnt change, then the air duct may have fallen off, in which case the dash needs to come out.. at that point, as long as the battery is disconnected for more than a minute, then you shouldnt worry about the air bags accidently going off... (however the right way is to disconnect the battery, wait 1 minute, then unplug every srs plug in the vehicle-usually always yellow with a red lock)... let us know what you find... may even be a blend air door problem.
