Engine Mechanical problem
1995 Mazda b3000 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 148.00 miles

after the truck runs for 15 min or so the oil pressure drops to zero and the engine starts to tap could the oil pump be bad? or is the engine bad?

more than likely the oil pump is going bad. as long as the engine isnt knocking replace the pump.
do not run engine until fixed doing so could cause severe engine damage

more than likely youve got some bearing damage. or maybe a wrist pin knocking.
depending on your money situation theres a couple of options, I personally would find a service center with a good reputation and have them tell me my options depending on the amount of damage caused already.

just do not run the truck any longer because eventually running the engine without oil circulating will render the motor useless
