1991 mazda 626 2.2L

I have the same problem. I too replaced the coil, wires, distributor cap and rotor. I'm getting fuel to the fuel injectors. I checked that there was voltage at the coil.

Turns over fine but no spark. I put a screwdriver into the coil where the the wire connects it to the distibutor cap and saw no spark. Could this be the ignition module in the distributor? Or the main computer?

I don't want to buy a part that costs 100 or more to find out that didn't fix the problem either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Both of these sound like an igniter/ pick-up faults that were common in both distributors. There is some testing for the 1991 dist., But not much with the 96 dist ( assuming its a 4 cyl)

Most likey this is the cause of your no spark. If the igniter/pick-up is faulty. It won't tell the coil to spark

Thanks for the response, I am sorry I failed to include all the info needed. It is a 1996 mazda 626, 2.0 litre 4 cyl, the miles I am not sure of exactly as the car is not here but it around 125.000 or so. Is the igniter you speak of inside the distributor? If so does that mean buy a distributor and if not where is it? Thank you for your time.
