My 1992 Mazda overheated the other day, I did a thermastat check in a pot of boiling hot water. It didn't open. I replaced it and the very next day the car still overheated and got so hot that it died. Now it cranks but will not start at all. There is no water in the oil when I pulled the oil dip stick. Do I have a blown head gasket maybe?

This is a 1992 mazda 626 v4

Check all the cylinders for coolant if any you have a blown headgasket or a cracked head or block and intake leak to confirm-block and pressure test it
