This is more of a, I had an issue, found and repaired the causes.

I noticed I had a burnt oil smell coming from the driver's front wheel well and had lost most of the engine oil (barely touching dipstick end).

Once I got the area pressure washed and crawled under to inspect, I found two issues. One, the engine oil cooler seal to oil pan was leaking (badly). Two the driver's side valve cover also leaking badly, right down on the exhaust manifold and cat.

Oil cooler issue was an easy and simple fix, replaced seal, torqued to specs, done.

Valve cover different story. First the plastic cover is kind of "hemi" styled with ignition coils/plug down through the center. Well, you can get a valve cover gasket by itself, but the spark plug seals are made into the valve cover. Luckily a replacement valve cover with new seals and gasket was only about $50.00 plus shipping online.

The valve cover is easy to get to (not) a lot of wiring and clips to remove and tie out of the way, but doable. Removing valve cover's 12 bolts and cover easy. Where you need to be careful is clean up of area and reinstalling the new valve cover. There are torque specs and pattern to go by or it will not seal correctly. Both can be found online, just google the correct truck info for valve cover specs.

Leaks fixed, oil no longer leaking. Note: Even after pressure washing exhaust manifold and cat, it still took a few days for the burnt oil smell to go away.
