Hello,

Oil changed one week ago. I drove home a few blocks that day, parked it, and went on a trip with others. I got home yesterday but didn't use car.

I drove around earlier today approx 30 miles, then parked it. Started it up this evening to leave and instantly heard a rattle. Let it run several seconds, and then a low-pressure warning came on. I shut it off and checked the oil. It was high but I had just turned off the motor. I called my brother and asked him to listen, so I started it up again and let it run a couple of minutes, turned it off, waited several minutes and checked oil again. Read high and did still rattle. I waited 2 hours, checked oil, still high. I have not started it again per brother's recommendation.
What do you think? Thank you for your input.

Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so I can hear the noise? That way I can tell for sure what's going on. You can upload it here with your response. It sounds like you have a clogged oil pump pick up or the engine oil and filter need to be changed can I ask when the last oil change was done? This guide can help walk you through the oil and filter change and i have included instructions for your car in the images below.

Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

Hi. Thank you for your response. The oil was changed, one week ago, but I just drove it yesterday for the first time since the oil changed and this is also the first time there's ever been a problem. I'm out of town until tomorrow evening, so I may get a video when I get home. Although, everything I read says do not start it or drive it!

Correct, I would not drive it until we figure out the problem. If the oil pump pick up is clean the oil pump relief spring might be broken. Here is how to change the oil pump out so you can see what needs to be done. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
