Hey there, I have a problem with my car listed above EX model. The low beams are not working but the high beams are. I have after market headlights that use H1 halogen bulbs and they wire differently than the stock 9006. The wires power two separate parts of the projector. The bulbs were burned out so I tried replacing them but no power. There is a red wire and a black wire that runs to the wire harness that plugs into the low beams and the red wire has power but the black wire does not. I tried plugging in the stock 9006 bulbs and they power up but it blew a fuse and I think it was because there is only power running to the one wire but I'm not sure entirely. The night this all started happening I was having issues with my starter where the car was having trouble starting and the passenger side bulb blew out driving that night then the next day the driver's side was just gone. I had caught wind of a problem with the ignition starter switch I have replaced those. I cannot figure out what to do about these low beams. I was hoping you could help.

Hello, I am Danny.

That sounds like you are having a ground issue. Be sure to check all connections for loose/corroded/burnt issues. I would really inspect the black (ground) wire for problems. Are these brand Vision X? Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

Yes it was, fixed the problem. The bulb in aftermarket Spyder brand headlights is grounded not powered I learned this week which means everything needs to be in place for the bulbs to receive power because the power comes through the harness. Just the way they made them! Thank you!
