A normal type rumbling noise while driving on the highway, but much louder than usual, coming from one side of the car only, usually the one closest to the curb. I got my transmission changed about 15,000 miles ago and they said CV joint might go on the side that's having the issue. I'm thinking it's that, but any other suggestions?

Hi,

It could be related to the CV joint but most of the time, you will get a clicking sound when turning sharp.

When you are driving, do me a favor, when you hear the noise safely turn left or right and see if the sound changes pitch or goes away. If it does, tell me which way you turn when it goes away or lessens.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care and God Bless,

Joe
