Loud clicking/knocking when fan is turned to anything except circulation

When I turn on the air, if it’s on any setting other than circulation, it takes a second to start making the noise but when it starts it’s a loud knocking/clicking noise that seems to be coming from near the glove box but maybe a little lower. Changing the A/C off or on doesn’t change it, neither do any heat settings. I do need a new high pressure A/C switch pigtail, because something chewed on it. I’m not sure if that’s the source of the issue or maybe an actuator?

This sounds like it could be one of two things. It could be the actuator behind the glove box or it could be the blower motor which is also behind the glove box.

I would suggest removing the glove box and turning on the system so that you can pinpoint the noise.

Here is a guide that talks about this:

Please run through this material and let us know what you find as I suspect you will see the issue.
