My girl hit a big log while driving going about 50 mph, nothing was the matter at first but over two weeks it slowly got worse and worse. We stopped driving it because of the clunking and banging. I changed the upper control arm bushings and when I went to connect the arm it wouldn't fit so I hammered it in thinking it was okay. Problem not solved so I changed the tie rod cause it was bad and the upper ball joint was bad too, tomorrow I am getting the lower ball joint cause it's bad also. My question is, what's making all that ruckus? So I noticed that when I put the control arm in that in order to get them to fit with new bushings I had to beat them in which I discovered that they were popping out or one of the bushings were. I'm guessing the control arm is bent. Is that why the arm won't fit with new bushings? Is the noise coming from the control arm moving around because the bushings is not seated correctly?
