Lost key, how can I shift the transmission into neutral without the key?

Drop the cover under the driver's side dash panel. The brake interlock solenoid is on the right of the column where the steering column bracket is. However, that will only unlock the shifter, the steering lock will still be engaged and that can only be released with the key cylinder. The better solution would be to have a locksmith come out and create a key for it as that would allow it to move easily.
