There was a loss of power, but when you restart power resumes. I just change my fuel filter but then again with same result.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a dirty throttle bore causing he car to go into limp mode. here is a guide to help you fix the problem. please leave the wires connected and don't force the throttle bore open.

Please run down this guide and report back.

I have the car listed above with a 2.6l diesel engine. My car doesn't have power and it doesn't pass 2,500 revs. What might be the problem?

Good afternoon,

First off, try and think of things that may have happened recently.
Did you get fuel from a different place than usual?
Did you notice anything just prior to the loss of power?
Have you scanned the vehicle to find out if there are any DTC codes?

Lets start with the basics here. Actually I had the same problem twice with my 7.3 diesel, one not too long ago and it turned out to be a clogged fuel filter. The other time it was a batch of bad fuel I got from a "questionable" gas station. The fuel was contaminated.

First thing I would do is change the fuel filter. Then see if the problem still exists.
Regards
Jon

Whilst driving engine lost power and started knocking. Stopped driving let engine cool down restarted no problem. 10 min later started making noise again and low power. Towed home starts but runs very rough. Temp gauge normal but block felt very hot and no warning lights on dash board. No problems before this incident ran perfect.

Start with a compression test, you will need a special compression tested, as diesel compressions are extreme compared to petrol engines, and there will be an adaptor to screw into the glow port, if you do this your self, you will have to crack all the injector lines so the engine will not try and fire, if in doubt get a mechanic to do this test.
