No leak found. Pressure test good. Engine light on because of Evap system. No overheating. New radiator. New reservoir. Still no solution. Occasional tick under the hood that sounds like a spark firing. Similar to this issue.

Good morning,

I would have a leak down test done on each cylinder to be sure you do not have a failed head gasket. if you do not have any leaks then it must be burning it out.

After reading many forums and seeing many people with the same problem who spent thousands of dollars fixing the engine (to no avail), I waited until it was below 45 degrees and it started leaking. I immediately took it to the mechanic and they found that it was the water pump. The default troubleshoot for these types of issues should be UV dye kits. It would have saved a lot of time, stress and potentially money. Amazon even has UV dye for Dex-Cool systems ($30.00 when you buy a flashlight and goggles with it).

The parts stores have a dye you add to the cooling system. When it leaks it turns the brightest green you can imagine. I use this all the time.

A good shop would have went the extra to help you by doing this. If the water pump was leaking, all they needed was a good bright LED light and they should have been able to see the residue on the weep hole in the pump.
