1992 Lincoln Town Car V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have problems with my car stalling while driving and then not restarting. I suspect that it may have to do with the fuel pressure regulator or the fuel pump. How can I check to determine if the regulator is bad or the fuel pump is bad?

best way to test is with a fuel pressure guage, also to tell if the pump is bad or weak if the pump is priming excessivly when the vehicle is turned on, it could be a problem with the pump.

also if the fuel pressure regulator was bad you could look in the vaccum hose connecting to it, and if there is gas in it the regulator is bad.
