When I try to start my car first thing in the morning or after hours of not driving it will not start right up. What I do to get it started is turn the key to the on position on and off until I hear the fuel pump humming then it will start right up. Occasionally when I do get it started the engine will studder shaking the car until it shuts off but it turns right on after with no issue. I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs and coils already to no avail.

Check the fuel pump relay it may not be working or corroded then have it scanned for codes. It may be the rear electronic module not sending power correctly to pump.

I am not the greatest mechanic but I do follow instructions well. How can I check for a bad relay sense they do not look anything like regular fuse? Thank you in advance.

Easiest way it to switch with another good relay and look for corrosion on the prongs if any clean it off and use dielectric grease on prongs in auto parts they call it bulb grease but same thing. also, here is a link on how to check.
