Three days after cleaning the brake light switch with PB Blaster the engine went into limp mode. Not sure if that's related to the cleaning of the brake switch and lubing, but it is curious, I'd like to get it out of limp mode.

Hi,

Chances are it isn't related to the WD40. It isn't a conductor. Make sure the connector is tight on the switch.

Also, the idea that it's in limp mode could be the result of quite a few things. Have you scanned the computer to see if there are codes are stored?

If not, the vehicle has an OBD1 system that doesn't require a scan tool to retrieve codes. Here is a link that explains how to do it:

If possible, scan the vehicle and let me know if codes are found. If you already have and found none, let me know that as well. Additionally, let me know how the vehicle is acting.

Take care,

Joe
