I was pulling out of store like normal and kinda jamming on it then it through two codes and is like its in limp mode. I only get like half throttle response. Seems to run fine at low rpms. I reset them but, they were p0500 and p1131. It's still running the same but, I haven't driven it enough for the codes to come back. I recently changed the fuel pump and speed sensor. The used motor was just put in when I bought it.

0500 is speed sensor in trans which could be bad or it's a wiring issue/pcm problem. for 1131 see pic for problems associated with it also check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent it.

I already changed vss cause the speedo doesn't work and the old wires were twisted. Never through that code till now. I've changed fuel pump three times. Maybe its a faulty pcm and shorting things out? Only driven like 20 miles since used motor put it.

The speedo not working may be a bad dash causing that. Check the items that are in pic like partially clogged egr system etc. Or vacuum leak. Also the people that changed the motor may have done just that and not changed oil etc.

I will check vacuum and egr. Its fresh oil, new alternator, third fuel pump and filter. I know it could use an air filter but, never saw that throw codes. Sat with bad gas awhile before me. Thanks.

With three fuelpumps i'd think there is junk in tank and should be washed out. It shouldn't go through that many unless they are really a cheap brand. You should have 35-55 psi key on engine off. Check fuel pressure then turn key off if it doesn't hold 5 psi within one minute then injectors or fuel pressure regulator is no good.

I emptied and cleaned the tank before I put the last fuel pump in. The other two went cause of bad gas but, now this is different than before. Before I couldnt even get it to run more than 5 minutes til the pump went. Maybe clogged injectors? Ran sea foam through before the last pump. Not cheap pumps either. Regulator didnt seem to be dirty.

Test it like I've said in last reply injectors can be cleaned professionally at a garage sometimes it works. Not running more than 5 minutes I kind of doubt it's an injector. Until you scan for codes and check fuel pressure you are just wasting money because you don't know where to go. Also check intake for vacuum if 15" or below suspect a clogged exhaust.

Turns out it wasn't in limp. A plastic linkage between throttle cable and throttle body broke. Some sort of limiter or something. Im told that definitely would throw those codes because it controls fuel and air. I made a new one out of aluminum and it runs perfect. Now I just need get my e-brake handle to stay engaged. Thanks for all the help. I'm sure I will be asking more advice.

Are there any common relays and such that would cause the trunk latch to not work? Ive changed the latch, key fobs and everything else works fine. Next is to get an actuator if its not a hidden relay somewhere. I hear a slight click sometimes under the glove compartment when I hit the trunk button. Maybe relays under there for it? I dont have a manual for it.
