When I come to a stop it sounds like the ticking noise gets louder like a lifter is banging around and it hasn't lost any power.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Is the motor oil clean and full? What brand oil filter are you using? How many miles are on the vehicle? If you notice it getting louder, it may be related to low oil pressure, low oil, and so on. Has the oil pressure light ever come on?

Let me know.
