Engine Mechanical problem
1994 Lexus GS 300 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 182k miles

The car stopped / stop running a couple days ago, I replace the battery with a new one and it started up. The next day it would not start but it turns over without srtarting until the battery run's dead. I took the alternator out, had it check and it passed. I'm assuming the starter/solenoid are good. Could the problem be with my fuel pump, contol module, starter relay or what possible could be the problem?

I notice that the PCV value need to be replacied if this could be the problem.

Please help ASAP

Thanks

Marcus

Hi Marcus,

Thank you for the donation.

When the engine can be cranked, it should not be the starter or alternator.

You need to test if it is fuel or sparks that is missing.

Unplug a spark wire and attach a spark plug and ground it to the engine. GEt some one to crank and see if there are any sparks. If none you need to check power suppply to distributor.

Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rails. Unloosen the pressure relief bolt ( becareful, ther might be pressure in line) and turn ignition switch on, fuel should shoot out.
