Leakage and engine smoking

car is parked and liquid from underneath, and now smoke coming from engine.

What color is the fluid? Does it look like coolant or oil? If this is coolant than the smoke that you are seeing is actually steam that is burning off the engine when it heats up. If it is oil then that is the oil burning off. Either way we need to find the source which is going to require us to first identify the liquid.

Let me know if you are not sure. If you are aren't then get a picture of the fluid and I will try to narrow it down.
