Key ignition will not turn off

I parked my trucked went to turn it off but key won't turn. It's in park I had to disconnect the battery for my truck to turn off but key still won't turn off.

Have you been able to get the key out to this point? Just to be clear the key is stuck in the on position and would not turn at all?

If this is the case we may have to remove the lock cylinder. I attached the process but if the key is stuck in the on position you should be able to just push the release button to pull the cylinder out.

Then we need to replace it or lubricate it and try to work it free.

If the shifter interlock was the issue the key would be stopped in the ACC position so I suspect the cylinder is just locked up.
