The brake light and turn signal work, and the taillight on the driver's side comes on just fine. I tried replacing the bulb, that didn't work I checked numerous fuses which all seem good and I even tried switching out the park lamps relay in the trunk fuse box with a spare that was in the 31 slot but so far I have not been able to get to the bottom of the problem. When I tested the socket itself there is power to the blinker socket but no juice to the socket that would illuminate the actual taillight. Please help. Thanks

Hi,

Since you have brake and signal lights, it isn't a ground issue because they have a common ground with the parking light. Now, you have me a bit confused. You indicate there is power to the socket, but no power to the blinker socket and before that you indicated the blinker and brake light work. Please explain.

I attached a picture below that is a schematic of the light socket itself. If you look at it, note all light functions have a common ground. Also, the purple wire supplies 12v to the socket. If you do have power to the socket, and it appears ground isn't an issue, then either the socket itself is bad and not making contact.

If you could clean things up for me, I will be able to better help.

Let me know.
