Pulled up to gas station got gas tried to start truck will not start. I have spark and fuel I have replaced MAP sensor, pickup coil, distributor cap, ignition module and rotary button. When I turn it over the injectors are spraying out fuel on both sides equally. I checked for compression at the number one cylinder with my thumb it blew my thumb out. I checked to see if rotor on distributor was turning when the vehicle was cranking over and it was. I can hear fuel pump kick on when I turn the ignition over I also checked all my fuses they are good. I tried spraying starting fluid in throttle body still no start. I pulled my plugs out they were not burnt just smelled like gas. I am going to replace the plugs and see if she will fire up. I am getting spark and fuel I just do not have a clue why it will not start. Please help.

If it is getting fuel and spark, you have to double check compression.

If the plugs smelled like gas it sounds like you do not have spark or the spark is not in time. Another thing that was common on the 4.3 in those years is for carbon to block the EGR open. Normally you could get them to start but sometimes they would not.
