May sound a little extreme. See my profile. Crawl under 1st look for obvious. Like (saw this 1st-hand). SOME SPHINCTER-ORFICE HAS STOLEN MY REAR DRIVESHAFT. Or. Driveshaft off, on one end or other (prob. Rear)
While in the crawling mode. Nothing Obvious from 1st test. Get all 4 wheels off ground. Have someone hold each wheel still (1 at a time) while you turn EACH driveshaft by hand, tranny in neutral. If you have STANDARD Differentials, wheel not being held will turn opposite of one held. If LIMITED SLIP DIFFs. Both wheel will turn same direction (1 held also). If not doing this you may have broke axle/ or axle issue of some sort. IF this goes well.
Put in 4X4, tranny in neutral, WITH YOUR HANDS ON REAR DRIVESHAFTANOTHER PAIR ON FRONT DRIVESHAFT. Turn against each other. BOTH should be LOCKED together, moving the SAME DIRECTION. If not, investigate "U" joint/ shaft into case for "Strippage on shaft" (freewheeling U joint) or internal breakage not locking D. Shafts together. Keep us informed.
Love, Turddog
This may get you looking at what is not working. AXLES or TRANSFER CASE
